Oh, unfortunately I can't reach my target for this year..."
I hear it often. Rarely true.
And many professionals experience it as unpleasant, a means of pressure
My view?
You can ALWAYS reach your target. If you plan it right.
And...a target contributes to your success! It makes you happy.
How can a target make you happy?
→ It gives focus and therefore peace
→ Satisfaction when you make it
→ Increasingly more insight into where your value is purchased because you manage your action plan more actively
→ Your self-confidence grows, so you can shift your ambitions
In short, control over your growth as a person, professional, team and company
You really need a smart action plan!
→ No wild promises, but initial sales expectations
→ Not just big or many small prospects
→ With triggers “which and especially WHY prospects want to talk to you now”
Always get?
→ With your action plan as a basis
→ Fill your funnel to 130% of your target. Never less
→ From that 130%, you calculate the required effort: how many conversations? How many leads?
Then I divide everything into 4 categories:
1) Sure (will come in unless…)
2) It works if I do ABC
3) Exciting (50/50)
4) Unknown (early stage)
Every month you check your distribution.
Not enough in "sure"?
More focus on existing deals.
Not enough new deals?
More prospecting.
