Customers buy from people

Everyone's saying these days that AI is going to take over all sales and marketing jobs, but consider this:
Would you ever buy a €20K+ solution from a chatbot?
Of course not. That's not how we humans are wired at all.
In recent years, the B2B world has been flooded with new tools and technologies, all supposedly helping you sell faster and more. CRM systems that collect data, but are they really getting the most out of your customers? AI applications that send impersonal messages. Automation that's supposed to save you time, but only further distances your team from what truly matters.
What's really important? Personal contact with your customers.
What I see in practice:
→ Companies invest millions in technology, while their advisors or salespeople still struggle to develop relationships and understand the customer's agenda.
→ Prospects are being bombarded with automated messages that no one reads
→ Complex B2B decisions are still made based on trust and personal connection
The truth is that technology is great for efficiency, but not for effectiveness in complex B2B environments.
Here are some observations:
→ The most successful B2B salespeople aren't the ones with the best tools, but the ones who can really listen.
→ Decision makers value an honest "I don't know, but I'll find out" more than a polished AI answer
→ The emotional component of major B2B decisions is systematically underestimated
If we've learned one thing from digital transformation, it's that technology should enhance the human connection, not replace it.
